Predicting Pulitzer: An Evening Among the Book Stacks
Each year three literary judges meet in New York City to select 3 books, one of which will go on to be nominated as the Pulitzer Prize winning book of fiction. Unless, like 2012 and 1977, 1974,1971,1964,1957, and 1954 when no winner was announced. Along with a certain inconsistency, there is usually a bit of controversy and edge. Keeping with a tradition started last year – Twinsburg Library will host an evening devoted to predicting which one of the more than 300,000 books published in 2013 will be the eventual winner. After all, we were right last year! Join us, as Twinsburg Librarian Tim Burns and Cuyahoga County Librarian Bill Kelly square off Siskel and Ebert Style in Predicting Pulitzer: An Evening Among the Book Stacks. We promise controversy, disagreement, and a lot of books. And you just might be a winner of a Major Award.
